The President Calls Families of Attacked Military Members to White House

President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has asked the loved ones of a Guard member killed last week to visit the White House.

He noted that he spoke to her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Information on the Tragic Event

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a attack on Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Vigils across West Virginia have taken place in their remembrance.

White House Invitation

The president stated he’s proposed a White House visit for the families of both soldiers of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump informed the press. “And in the same way with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Public Support

Community members gathered over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.

Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the military unit as part of Trump’s federal initiative to support public safety in the capital.

Paying Tribute to the Soldier

“She was the individual that teachers desired. She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a positive energy that inspired people around her,” Hankins, the leader of her former high school, told the press. “She was caring, caring and always willing to assist people.”

Memorial plans for Sarah are still being arranged.

Legal Actions and Policy Adjustments

Authorities have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of first-degree murder and charges of violent assault while armed.

The event prompted the administration to halt refugee claims and cease granting visas to owners of Afghan passports.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

The airman, a native of the city, began his service in February 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, as reported by the Associated Press.

He continues to receive treatment and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia leader Morrisey said on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

The state’s top lawyer the attorney general stated on Fox News Sunday that she aimed to speak to the family.

Memory of Sarah Beckstrom

Sarah, from Summersville, completed her education from Webster County high school in June 2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a military police officer with honor, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,” Morrisey told the crowd at the memorial. “Though her time lasted far too short, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
